Emergency contraception is also known as the morning-after pill, emergency birth control, and backup birth control. You will often hear these terms being used interchangeably. Plan B One-Step™ is an emergency contraceptive. Other brand-name emergency contraceptive products you may see include Next Choice™ and ella®.
