About eMedTV

The eMedTV Web site was developed and is owned by Clinaero, Inc. Clinaero is a privately held software and services company focused in two areas – clinical trials and health information. Funding for eMedTV is provided exclusively by Clinaero. We use revenue from advertising and clinical trial products to offset the costs of running eMedTV.

Having pioneered the interactive informed consent industry, Clinaero's team members have extensive experience in creating health information for patients. We have produced hundreds of full-length informed consent presentations and thousands of short multimedia clips designed to educate patients about diseases, treatments, and procedures.

Our technology and content have been used in research studies involving the National Institutes of Health, and can be found in most of the top medical centers in the United States and in numerous countries worldwide.

Through eMedTV, Clinaero is committed to providing accurate and credible health information to consumers, both in written and multimedia format. Our mission is to offer the most comprehensive health information resource on the Web, which combined with knowledge from their healthcare providers, will allow people to make better informed and more confident healthcare decisions.

Quality and Source of Content
We employ a multi-step process to create and review all information on eMedTV. Content is created by healthcare professionals on staff at Clinaero. These professionals use a variety of medical references to create this content, including medical reference textbooks, specialty medical journals, and drug-prescribing information approved by the FDA. This information is then reviewed by full-time professional editors for clarity. These writers and editors work closely with the Clinaero medical team, which includes on-staff physicians and pharmacists. We will often use specialists in various branches of medicine and research to review the content. Many of these specialists are considered key opinion leaders in their respective fields.

The eMedTV content development and review process is overseen by Arthur L. Schoenstadt, MD. Dr. Schoenstadt graduated from Tulane Medical School and did his post-graduate training at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. For the past nine years, Dr. Schoenstadt has been involved with creating health information for clinical practices and clinical trials.

Kristi Monson, Pharm.D. oversees the development and review process for all drug and supplement information on eMedTV. Kristi is a graduate of the University of Montana School of Pharmacy.

As medicine is constantly changing, we also regularly review our content for accuracy. At the bottom of each article, you will see the date of the last review or update. Where necessary, content found to be incorrect or out of date is corrected, updated, or purged.
