“Health information brought to life.”
eMedTV was an early pioneer in patient-friendly health video content. It was launched in 2007 by former US Navy physician Dr. Arthur Schoenstadt. eMedTV combined short, physician-narrated videos with rigorously edited articles.
The site's library grew to more than 3,500 topics and was among the most visited health sites in the 2010s. The project was quietly retired in 2019.
A full site archive is available on Archive.org and some clips remain accessible on eMedTV's YouTube channel. For those searching for medical videos, OpenMD maintains a current directory of reliable medical video sites.
