eMedTV, an early pioneer in patient-friendly health video content, was launched in 2007 by former US Navy physician Dr. Arthur Schoenstadt. eMedTV combined short, physician-narrated videos with rigorously edited articles.
The site's library grew to more than 3,500 topics and was among the most visited health sites in the 2010s. Unfortunately, eMedTV went dark in 2019. A site archive is available on Archive.org and some clips remain accessible on eMedTV's YouTube channel.
For medical professionals in search of medical videos, OpenMD maintains an up to date directory of leading medical video sites.
